lemme bitch a minute. my full time job chiefly consists of scraping shit off concrete and physically handling animals capable of killing me while i make split second judgements about whether or not they intend to do so. i recently got written up for texting rather than emailing about not attending a shift due to medical reasons back in march, and can’t afford rent on a one bedroom apartment. how in the name of fuck am i gonna hear that everyone’s wallets got stolen and not laugh

i’d be concerned about posting this on a public blog only this is tumblr and the shelter i work at doesn’t have the resources to pay a living wage let alone comb semi-obscure social media

fwiw pt ii: my initial reaction to learning there had been a mass theft from the staff room was that if it is a coworker it makes sense ‘cause stealing wallets doesn’t seem like an irrational response to the pay and working conditions of this fucking job :)
